Tri-State Black Men in Medicine is a Non-Profit organization composed of the face and future of Black Medicine in the Tri-State area. Through mentorship, networking, community outreach and service we strive to promote, improve and foster the careers of an extremely underrepresented demographic in the medical field, the Black Male Doctor.

At Tri-State Black Men in Medicine our vision consists of changing the landscape of Black Men in the Medical field through:

  • Serve- Through community partnerships and engagement we show that service to your community does not end once you step out of the hospital.

  • Educate- We are always actively trying to educate and inform the younger generation of students that a career in medicine is within reach. Our members take great pride in their academic acheivements in each of their respective fields.

  • Inspire- We cultivate an environment of mentorship and career development amongst our members as well as the Tri-State region.

Tri-State Black Men in Medicine recognizes that its members are its most
valuable asset. These are the organization’s core values:

  • Integrity and Ethics

    • All of our actions and decisions rest on a foundation of integrity and ethics. It’s as important today as ever, and we make a difference by encouraging others to do the same.

  • Quality and Professionalism

    • We earn our reputation for industry-leading quality members every day. And we hold ourselves to high standards that ultimately make a difference in the lives of our members, patients, and society at large.

  • Continuous Improvement

    • Getting better every day is what drives our members. We don’t coast. We don’t procrastinate. By improving ourselves, our culture and dedication to life-long learning we also improve our ability to make a difference.

  • Growth

    • The growth of our program serves a purpose larger than itself. It allows us to increase the good we do and creates more opportunities for our members, potential pre-med students and the community as a whole.
